Arrived at Grundy Lake Provincial Park south of Sudbury after 7 hrs on the road on the first day! We were greeted at the park by carpets Trilliums and clouds of black flies!!The park is beautiful and quiet. After a quiet sit with a refreshing beverage, then supper of chili, a walk along the shore of the lake stretched our travel-weary legs.
Nancy quickly found a tree to hug for refreshing energy
(Joanne, this one's for you!)
Just a quick stop overnight, so not unhitching the trailer.
Nancy found relief from the black flies with our new 'bug hats'
Us with a carpet of trilliums
Trilliums, trilliums, everywhere - just beautiful.
On the shore of Grundy Lake.
A perfect bloom!
Would it be against the law to pick a trillium and press it in the journal... just wondering?
ReplyDeleteYes, it probably is illegal! But if we see some more (we have seen any since we left that campground), we just might do that!!
